When our family visits The Most Magical Place on Earth, there’s one tradition we never skip — miniature golf! It’s the perfect way to enjoy the Florida sunshine, get a little competitive fun going, and make memories that last long after the final putt.
A Hidden Gem Beyond the Parks
Most guests know about the whimsical Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf, located near the Swan and Dolphin Hotels. It’s a classic Disney experience filled with music, magic, and playful nods to Fantasia.
But did you know there’s a second miniature golf course on property? Tucked just outside the entrance to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park sits Winter Summerland Miniature Golf — and it might just be the best mini golf course on Disney property… or anywhere!
Santa’s Magical Design
The story goes that one Christmas Eve, as Santa was flying back to the North Pole, he spotted snow in Florida. Intrigued, he landed to take a closer look and decided it was the perfect spot for his elves to vacation. Thus, Winter Summerland was born — a tropical-meets-North-Pole getaway designed by Santa himself!
When he realized the elves needed one more touch of fun, Santa added a miniature golf course — and the elves got to work building not one, but two uniquely themed 18-hole courses:
☀️ The Summer Course
Get ready to “deck the balls” in true Florida fashion! This bright and beachy course is filled with:
Sandcastles, surfboards, and palm trees decked with ornaments
Peppermint-striped inner tubes and snapping clamshells
A melting snowman and even a snoozing Santa buried in the sand
It’s the perfect mix of sunshine and silliness!
❄️ The Winter Course
Prefer snowflakes over sand? Head to the Winter side, where you’ll:
Putt past giant peppermints, hockey sticks, and frosty castles
Dodge Squirty the Snowman, who sprays water as golf balls roll by
Journey through icy obstacles toward the “North Hole”
Both courses merge for the final holes, ending with a magical touch — a special message from Santa himself, sent straight through the WinterNet!
